Am also a cream pasta lover. The best pasta I've had is ironically at Pasta Mana @ Old Airport Road hawker centre instead of some fanciful restaurant. You should check it out some day!Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10190840856574308984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518449826441334619.post-60624911513114752792010-10-16T07:49:04.944+08:002010-10-16T07:49:04.944+08:00hey Eelin,

Agree that our supermarket variety is kinda limited and may not be the best around. I try not to use canned ones because of the additives and preservatives. Maybe adding alittle wont hurt.

Adding cream is a good idea, thanks =]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hi SSB,

thanks! I can handle deep frying better than anything else since I have done it couple of times. Havent tried steaming anything yet, haha

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hey Edith,

its an honour of mine, thanks =]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hey aud,

ya i know what you mean. garlic burns easily. haha. I usually only sautee for a while. Next time will sautee onions first then add garlic like what you mentioned =]

If I prepare the sauce in advance, I will need to buy tonnes of tomatoes. Everytime I will use 800-900g tomatoes lei.Bakertanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01333706478714722217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518449826441334619.post-82406544919644481542010-10-16T07:41:32.869+08:002010-10-16T07:41:32.869+08:00Hi Jess,

But the local ones in most of our supermarkets are never as sweet and tasty as roma or beef tomatoes. Unfortunately those are really pricey, so I've found that the canned ones actually work pretty well for a more robust flavour. Sometimes, I add tomato paste for a boost.

Next time, try adding a little milk or cream into the sauce. You'll get a creamy tomato sauce, which is nice, and tones down the tartness of the tomatoes.NEL, the batter bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08120123332638371466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518449826441334619.post-48156996237502758232010-10-15T09:03:52.001+08:002010-10-15T09:03:52.001+08:00Looks good.
